Big News, created by SNL writer alum Michael McCarthy in 2002, is Los Angeles’ longest-running topical sketch comedy show. Pulled straight from the headlines, Big News produces a brand new show every week featuring some of the best talent in writing and performing that L.A. has to offer. Big News is often described as SNL meets The Daily Show live on stage. Currently boasting over 300 original hour long episodes, Big News can been seen in front of packed houses at iO West every Sunday at 9 pm with a brand new show. In addition to the weekly stage show, Big News has done a number of videos which have appeared on CNN, MSNBC’s Count Down with Keith Olbermann, Funnyordie.com, and Superdeluxe.com.
